What happens here
Josh explains that the truck needs to be jump-started because the battery is dead. He positions his newer diesel pickup truck next to the old Ford truck to serve as the donor vehicle. He discusses the proper procedure for connecting jumper cables: positive to positive, and negative to a grounded metal piece on the vehicle being jumped, away from the battery to prevent sparking and potential explosion of battery gases. He connects the jumper cables to his diesel truck first, then to the old Ford. After connecting the cables, he attempts to start the old Ford truck.
Goal: Provide power to the dead battery and try to start the engine.
