Built in bar seating is probably one of the most functional and spacing saving features you can add

What happens here

To achieve a seamless corner, the mitered pieces need to be securely joined. If the composite material is stiff, a heat gun can be used to slightly warm the material along the joint line, making it more pliable for a tight fit. Apply a strong adhesive, such as cyanoacrylate (CA) glue, along the mitered edges. Immediately follow with an activator spray to cure the glue rapidly. Press the two pieces firmly together, ensuring the mitered faces meet precisely. This creates a durable and visually seamless corner for the bar structure.

Goal: Join mitered composite boards to form a clean, strong corner.

Tools and materials

  • Gloves — Protecting hands from adhesive
  • Heat Gun — Slightly softening composite material for a tighter joint
  • Mitered Composite Decking Pieces — The components being joined
  • Activator Spray — Accelerating the curing of CA glue
  • Cyanoacrylate — Adhering the mitered joint
