Building Outdoor Pergola ALONE!
What happens here
After clearing the areas, the next step is to prepare the concrete forms. The creator cuts sections of concrete tube forms to the desired length using a circular saw. These forms will act as sleeves for the concrete footings. He then uses a Ryobi 40V brushless 8-inch cordless auger to dig the post holes, making sure they extend below the local frost line to prevent shifting due to frost heave. Since the auger is 8 inches and the concrete forms are 12 inches, he uses a shovel to manually widen the holes to accommodate the forms. The concrete forms are then placed into the enlarged holes.
Goal: Create deep holes for footings and insert concrete forms
