Building a snowplow truck

What happens here

Cody from Crysteel describes the features of the BOSS DXT snow plow, which is a 9-foot-2-inch DXT model. He highlights its trip edge design, which allows the blade to trip up and over obstacles without damaging the plow or truck. The bottom part of the plow's blade is designed to be worn down to a certain point, after which it becomes a 'free cutting edge.' He also mentions the heated LED lights for improved visibility and the universal BOSS SmartHitch system for easy attachment to any BOSS plow from the last 15 years. The DXT model is a dual-trip plow, meaning both the cutting edge and the moldboard can trip. He also explains the benefit of the stainless steel moldboard, which resists rust and allows for replaceable sections in case of damage, unlike mild steel which can rust when chipped.

Goal: Understand the advanced features and benefits of the BOSS DXT snow plow.

in the back all right let's start right from the front we went with the boss dxt Cody walk me through this one will you yes this is a 92 dxt yep um so this has the trip Edge and the way this works is this is actually part of the plow so you wear your blade down to right above the holes and then actual blade goes over the top of it this part comes off so when you do wear down a Cutting Edge you actually use this part of it but it's like a free Cutting Edge for the first one um yours has a flap you put the boss flap on it um it also trips like a normal vxt got so it's a dual trip just to make sure that we understand this yep a lot of them are either trip Edge and then the full moboard don't trip this one actually has both of them both of them yep okay and then the other Advantage is uh heated LED lights super bright lights um and then it has the same hookup as all boss units have had since pretty much the beginning um so the the only change they had early ones had 11 Pin and for the last 15 years they've had 13 pin so same connector so this truck hooked to any boss ball in the last 15 years or so oh nice um and then same hook up with the smart hitch so you just put in float and that little switch on the side over by you hit that on and off and it actually moves the actual head unit for you okay um and then this one is a down Force so what that means you can put down pressure on it beautiful oh Beauty she's going to scrape all right so now we went with stain steel yep and there's is some questions on why what is the advantage of a stainless steel blade Cody can you go over that with us yeah so like obviously mild steel with the powder coat holds up nice and they they sell a ton of them these ones will never rust that that moboard so you'll see some older ones that you know when they where they got damaged they they'll rust this one can get a ding or a dent and it won't rust um this actual piece right here is all replaceable so if you damage just this part of it you don't have to buy a whole Wing you can actually buy buy just this section and it's actually the same section as a poly so if you want to change it to a poly for whatever reason you can change it to a poly oh okay now well you can actually get these to rust if you etch them if you are in the high salt concentrations and you get etching in there you get a kind of a gr it's not going to rust like regular one it won't rust through you know but you could get you could get some like TR really just metal…
