Budget Turbo Yukon XL 4L80 Conversion: The Transmission Crossmember Mod! (100k Play Button Unboxing)

What happens here

Before welding, use an angle grinder to thoroughly clean all surfaces of the crossmember pieces where welds will be made. Remove any rust, paint, or contaminants to ensure a strong, clean weld. Put on a welding helmet and gloves. Set the TIG welder to appropriate settings (e.g., 90 amps for 1/8 inch steel). Tack weld the new steel plates to the crossmember ends. Apply small, strong tack welds in multiple locations to hold the plates securely, but ensure they can still be broken if minor adjustments are needed.

Goal: Tack weld the new steel plates to the cut crossmember pieces.
