Budget Turbo Yukon XL 4L80 Conversion (Part 3): Sticking It In! Swap Tips + HD Transfer Case Hunt!

What happens here

Attach the transfer case to the transmission. The presenter initially attempts to lift the transmission higher to align it, but realizes a dowel pin from the old engine is still stuck in the bell housing, preventing proper seating. He improvises to remove the stuck dowel pin, using a hammer and punch.

Goal: Attach the transfer case to the transmission, resolving any alignment issues

now and show you how to do that the right way or at least the way that works that i use is it the right way yeah it works doesn't it maybe there's more steps to it or more preciseness but you know you got the old click three times and send her home there's an o-ring on here this is important this seals like the converter lock and stuff that o-ring is very important and when i first put the escalade together the tolerance between the aftermarket output shaft of my converter was too tight and i kept ripping the o-ring getting it on i had to uh like go in and kind of file out the edge on the inside of the converter to get it to work but the factory ones usually have a problem just you know be sure that one your transmission has an o-ring and that you don't screw it up if you encounter lots of resistance putting it on once it's clicked on the first two times then it's resisting against that o-ring so just be careful don't bang it with a hammer if it's going on correctly you should be able to just do it you know by wiggling it around i put this cardboard here because a lot of times when you fill up the converter and you go to turn it it might dump a little bit back out so we are ready for that if that is to happen see there's fluid in there i don't know if you can see it oh yeah totally see it yep it's in there just trust me it's very wet so careful here so there's one two and i can tell it's not on the third one because i can get my fingers back here you just kind of there we go there's the third one you know it's in the whole way if you put your finger your whole hand behind the converter between the back of the convert on the pump you should just you should be able to feel the converter and the pump body with your finger like it should be close if there's room to move your hand around in there like that it's not in the hallway so don't got to try to stuff it in but not in the hallway because you'll bolt it all up you might think it'll work and everything it will not work you'll blow up the transmission i've never done that but my friends have and it's a sad thing when that happens just gotta take the whole thing back out and your freshly rebuilt transmission is blowed up again so simple steps prevent dumb things like that from happening also this is the cam why do i keep saying cam button converter crank button thing that is apparently going to give me a hard time yeah this is what seats into the crankshaft never seen one have a cover on it but gotta take…
