Budget Turbo Yukon XL 4L80 Conversion (Part 2): Prep For Boosted Power! TransGo HD2 ShiftKit Install

What happens here

According to the shift kit instructions, one checkball from the valve body needs to be removed permanently. The presenter removes this specific checkball. Next, he will replace an existing plug with a new one that features an O-ring and will use the new green springs provided in the kit. The new springs will be paired with new plugs provided in the kit. The choice of springs (e.g., green, orange, etc.) often dictates the firmness of the shift. The presenter emphasizes that the provided instructions should be followed carefully for the correct spring and plug selection based on desired shift firmness.

Goal: Install specific components from the shift kit into the valve body to alter shifting characteristics.
