What happens here

Install waterproofing membrane, such as a self-adhering modified bitumen flashing (e.g., Vycor Plus or similar), along the house's rim joist where the new deck's ledger board will attach. This protects the house framing from moisture. Simultaneously, workers dig post holes and set concrete footings for the deck's support posts, ensuring they are level and properly spaced according to design plans. This specific project uses adjustable steel post bases embedded in the concrete.
