Backyard DECK WITH ROOF - Full Project Time Lapse

What happens here

With the ledger board and main beams in place, individual floor joists are installed. These joists are typically spaced according to local building codes and deck design specifications. Metal joist hangers (metal connectors) are securely attached to the ledger board and/or beams to provide strong, positive connections for each joist. Blocking is installed between joists at specified intervals (e.g., mid-span or at ends) to provide lateral stability, prevent twisting, and create nailing surfaces for deck boards or other structural elements. This forms the foundation for the deck surface.

Goal: Create the support grid for the deck surface
