House Wall Preparation and Ledger Installation

What happens here

Prepare the house wall for the ledger board by removing sections of existing siding and installing new insulation boards (pink rigid foam insulation) and potentially new sheathing. A weather-resistant barrier (Tyvek HomeWrap) is applied over the sheathing to protect the house structure from moisture. The ledger board, a critical component that attaches the deck framing to the house, is then fastened securely to the house's rim joist or band board, ensuring it is level and properly flashed.
