A concrete truck is ALWAYS worth it. #concrete #slab

What happens here

After screeding, allow the concrete to rest until the bleed water has evaporated from the surface and it begins to stiffen slightly, but is still workable. Then, use a hand float (typically a magnesium or wood float) to further smooth and consolidate the surface. Move the float in broad, sweeping, or circular motions across the concrete. This action pushes down any larger aggregates that have risen to the surface, brings a fine paste to the top, and eliminates minor imperfections left by screeding. This step creates a denser, more durable surface and prepares it for any subsequent finishing (like troweling) or for a natural, slightly textured finish.

Goal: Smooth the concrete surface and prepare it for final curing or further finishing
