From underneath the sink, place the rubber washer over the strainer threads, followed by the locknut. Hand-tighten the locknut, then use a wrench to fully secure it. Finally, attach the plastic joint and the connecting nut which will connect to the P-trap assembly.
Goal: Assemble and install the sink drain.
