In this video
Use shielded flexible rubber couplers to connect the new PVC assembly to the old cast iron pipes. Before fitting the assembly into the wall, slide the couplers onto the top and bottom ends of the PVC section. Apply soapy water to the inside of the couplers to help them slide over the rough cast iron. Position the PVC assembly and slide the couplers into place over the cast iron ends. Make alignment marks on the pipes to ensure the couplers are centered over each joint. Using a 5/16' nut driver, securely tighten all the metal bands on both couplers to create a strong, leak-proof seal.
