If the existing stair landing or tread corner is a perfect 90-degree angle, simply measure the two sides from the corner. For example, if both sides measure 44 inches, mark these points on the new piece of plywood, starting from a square corner. Then, draw a straight line connecting these two marked points. This creates the exact 90-degree triangular pattern needed for the new component.
