Step 1 · Remove Old Screen

Using a flathead screwdriver or a putty knife, gently pry out the old screen material from the frame. Work your way around the perimeter, loosening the spline that holds the screen in place. Once the spline is loose, the old screen should come out easily. Remove any remaining pieces of spline from the groove.
