Step 2 · Apply Flashing Tape to Sill

Cut a piece of flashing tape long enough to span the width of the rough opening's sill and extend a few inches up each side jamb. Peel back the protective liner and carefully apply the tape to the sill, pressing it firmly into place to create a watertight seal. Ensure the tape is centered and smooth, with no wrinkles or air bubbles. This creates the primary seal against water intrusion at the bottom of the window.
