Hold one of the towel bar's mounting brackets against the wall at your desired height, ensuring it is level. Use a pencil to mark the screw hole locations on the wall, aligning with the previously marked stud centers if possible. Repeat for the second bracket, ensuring the correct distance between them as specified by the towel bar's design.
