Prepare your work area by clearing any flammable materials. Use a heat shield if you are working near walls, studs, or flooring. Unroll about 8-10 inches of lead-free solder from the spool and bend the first 2 inches at a 90-degree angle for easier application. Put on your safety glasses and heat-resistant gloves.
