Step 5 · Assemble Pipe and Fitting

Immediately after applying flux, push the pipe end straight into the fitting until it bottoms out completely. Give the pipe a quarter-turn twist to ensure the flux is spread evenly across both surfaces. Wipe away any excess flux that squeezes out of the joint with a clean rag. The joint is now ready for heat.
