Step 4 · Disconnect from the Sink Flange

This is the step most people slow down on. Take it one move at a time — there’s no rush, and you can rewind the clip as many times as you need.

Disconnect the disposal from the sink flange. The method depends on your sink mount type (3-bolt or EZ mount). Consult the manufacturer's instructions if needed. Use appropriate tools like screwdrivers or a garbage disposal wrench to remove mounting bolts or rings.
