Step 2 · Remove the Faucet Handle

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Locate the small set screw that secures the handle to the faucet body. It is often hidden behind a small decorative plastic or metal cap on the front or side of the handle, which may be marked with a red/blue hot/cold indicator. Carefully pry this cap off using a small flathead screwdriver or a pick. Inside, you will see the set screw. Use the appropriate size Allen wrench (hex key) to turn the screw counter-clockwise. You only need to loosen it a few turns; it does not need to be completely removed. Once loose, lift the handle straight up and off the faucet body.
