Step 4 · Replace Worn Faucet Parts
This is the step most people slow down on. Take it one move at a time — there’s no rush, and you can rewind the clip as many times as you need.
Inspect the O-rings, packing washer, and valve stem for wear and tear. Replace any damaged components with new ones from a repair kit specific to your spigot type. Reassemble the faucet, reversing the disassembly steps. Slowly turn the water back on and check for leaks. If the leak persists, call a plumber.
