Step 2 · Install the Mounting Assembly

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Follow your disposal manufacturer's instructions to install the new mounting ring, fiber gasket, and backup ring onto the sink flange. Ensure a clean and even application of plumber's putty for a secure and leak-proof seal.
