Step 3 · Remove the Cartridge

This is the step most people slow down on. Take it one move at a time — there’s no rush, and you can rewind the clip as many times as you need.

Remove the old cartridge. This often involves removing a retaining clip or nut. Use pliers or an adjustable wrench, carefully removing any remaining pieces and cleaning any debris from the valve body.
