Step 4 · Inspect Supply Lines for Damage

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Carefully examine the disconnected supply lines for any signs of damage, corrosion, or leaks. If you find any issues, replace the damaged lines with new ones of the correct length and type. Consider replacing them even if the damage appears minor to prevent future problems.
