Step 3 · Remove the Old Cartridge

This is the step most people slow down on. Take it one move at a time — there’s no rush, and you can rewind the clip as many times as you need.

Use a cartridge puller tool for easy removal. If you don't have one, pliers might work, but be careful not to damage the faucet body. Gently pull the old cartridge straight out.
