Step 4 · Remove the Old Valve Cartridge

This is the step most people slow down on. Take it one move at a time — there’s no rush, and you can rewind the clip as many times as you need.

Remove the old valve cartridge. Use a cartridge puller tool (recommended) or pliers to carefully grip and pull the cartridge out. Some cartridges may have a retaining clip that needs removal first. Be gentle to avoid damaging the valve body.
