Step 2 · Remove the Handle and Escutcheon Plate
This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.
Carefully remove the shower handle and the escutcheon plate. This usually involves unscrewing a small set screw (often hidden under a cap) using an Allen wrench or small screwdriver. Then, gently pull off the handle and the decorative plate.
