Step 2 · Remove the Old Shower Handle

This is the step people usually slow down on. Go finger-tight first, then a quarter turn. No rush — replay the clip whenever it helps.

Carefully remove the old shower handle. This typically involves removing a decorative cap or screw (using a screwdriver, as needed) and then gently pulling off the handle. If the handle is stuck, a flathead screwdriver might be necessary to carefully pry it loose.
