(6,913 characters)man this thing's awesome i stepped in dog hey there folks this is josh stoney ridge farmer welcome to another tool tuesdays here on the stoney ridge farm and we've got a treat for you it's a power pruning shear by keb tech pretty awesome tool we're gonna go around i've been working in the backyard here you can see the piles of brush and debris that i've already worked up and we've got a lot more to go so come along today as we review the kebtech power pruning shear this thing is awesome [Music] all right guys so this is the box that this thing comes in it's in a premium case again this is a sponsored video by kebteck thanks a lot to kebtech for reaching out for supporting rural content which is really important guys they contacted me and i got them to send two of these so one of these is going to be a giveaway post a comment down there and you'll be entered for a drawing for a giveaway to win one of these guys and they're pretty darn expensive we've got an eight percent discount code i do believe i'll post a link down below i'm not sure exactly what the discount will be but keb tech agreed to give our viewers a discount and here goes so we snap a battery in this is a 25 volt battery it's a 200 milliamp 25 volt battery and it has an optional usb port charger so in other words you can carry this as a battery bank to charge your phone up or whatever device you might need to charge that's pretty cool we're going to slide this guy on and it's a little backwards from what you would think it's kind of left-handed so instead of righty-tighty lefty-loosey it's lefty-tidy there we go there's a little tab we flick down here it locks our battery in place we've got a power button right here hit the power button hold it down whoop yep powers it on then we pull the trigger twice i had that i didn't read the instructions i'll just say that when i broke this thing out i didn't read the instructions it's got several warnings on the on the battery it says do not assemble this disassemble this by yourself and on the back right here it says do this scissors carefully so this is a finger chopper check it out that thing is awesome so talk about saving your hands if you are arthritic if you have arthritis in your hands or if you're clearing an area as big as what we're doing back here with snippers like this because you don't want to get your chainsaw into the rocks or if you're working around barbed wire or something like that cleaning up fence lines or in your backyard trimming your trees if that one tree that's whacking you in the face while you're on your lawnmower you can just stick this in the cup holder or the lawnmower cruise out there and get it i will show you basically you pull the trigger for every time you pull the trigger it counts right here so i cut for about an hour and 10 minutes out here the other day and i clipped about 900 times with this thing and it was only down to 91 battery so this battery really lasts a long time 25 volt is one option i believe there is one smaller option this is about double the price of the smaller one but serious hand saver for sure i think this thing would probably work for about two hours maybe two and a half hours out here just vigorously cutting now let me show you how big a stuff this thing will cut because i was really really surprised and you don't want to stick your finger in there that's that's the danger zone right there because this thing is a beast so this is hardwood this is what i just cut okay check it out that is awesome you can make your own lincoln logs for your kids if you guys remember lincoln logs hey just cut off a few of these for your kids and let them build little log cabins man it might make a good hobby could make some money at it awesome that's what these are power shears or loppers so instead of carrying out a pair of hand shears or a pair of loppers you basically have loppers and shears in one we're going to go over here in the woods a little bit and i'm going to show you how i use it in the field so this is a briar bush we call this a briar bush here in north carolina it's a sticker bush so you got a a power trimmer for a sticker bush you can just start at the top and work your way down i can see i've got a lot of sticker bushes in here this is what happens in north carolina when you leave stuff alone for about two years it just grows up in briars and brush just like this right here so we can get back in here this is a sour wood tree and i can work my way back in here this is a little dogwood and i want to hang on to it so i'm going to clip around the dogwood and this is a dogwood also so let's get a little closer to taking care of the tree we want to keep and get rid of the tree or the limbs that we don't want toss these guys out you can see how fast this just makes quick work of it again you don't want to get your finger in there but here goes a big one look at that man time saver big time time saver look at this see how big this is i think it'll cut up to 42 millimeters that ain't no joke you ain't doing that with your hands you'll be out here with a big old lopper doing that so we've got this tree is a little too big to cut we can't even try it on that but we can get all the limbs off of it we'll come back here with a chainsaw and get rid of this tree let's go ahead and lock this guy off you can just see it just makes quick work of everything but if you miss it doesn't make quick work very cool come on over here we're going to cut some big stuff so i'm gonna start cutting here at the bottom i'm gonna work my way up and then we're gonna lock this guy off so we'll start down low get this brush out of the way just like so we're gonna leave a little handle right here look at how quick man this thing makes quick work quick work of a tough job my hands would be absolutely worn out boom cut the top out cut that stick out and we're going to hit the limit of the strength of this machine here in a second that is nearing the size of a small child's wrist that is big man that is some big stuff i don't think i can cut it again but we're going to give it a shot yeah that's impressive the dogs will want to chew on that later so that's it that's the kebteck powered pruning shear i'll give you one more tip real quick when you get ready to turn this thing off squeeze the trigger and then turn it off and that way it stays closed and you don't take a risk of cutting yourself and again the battery there's a little slot here we'll slip it up turn the battery off and you got your usb charging port right in there thanks a lot guys i appreciate you joining me here on tool tuesday again the kep tech power pruning shear pretty awesome guys thanks a lot we'll see you next time this is staying on the kubota it's going with me everywhere on the farm for trimming up trails and cutting limbs off as we mow see ya [Music] man this thing's awesome i stepped in
