What happens here

Before working on the fence, turn off the solar fence energizer. Locate the off switch on the unit, which powers the electric netting. Disconnect the alligator clip that transfers power from the energizer to the fence. The energizer is typically grounded by a spike driven into the ground. If the ground spike has rusted, grind off the rust to ensure a good connection, as proper grounding is essential for the fence to function correctly and provide an effective shock.

Goal: Safely de-energize the fence and ensure proper grounding of the energizer.
