Is a tool box a tool? Kobalt tool cart unboxing and review

also going to be rebuilding the starter for the 1952 Willis Jeep on this thing rad hey folks this is Josh Stoney Ridge farmer welcome back to the farm today we're going to be working in the shop we're gonna be organizing our tools a little bit here in the shop and we got a new cobalt mobile work cart it's pretty cool it's got a wood top on it we'll take you well unbox it will show it to you show you all the features and right now it's on sale at Lowe's for like 300 bucks off so we got a killer deal on so come along today we'll show you what we're doing with this new mobile cart you'll see it a whole lot and future farm blogs this is going to be what we work off of here in the shop while we're working in the cold winter days all right [Music] so first things first let's go ahead and get our knife out we'll start opening this guy up I'm not a big unboxing kind of guy I do like video unboxings of things just because I think it's fun I enjoy watching other people open Christmas presents I like to go fishing and watch other people catch fish so why not unbox something have a little bit of fun and show you what it's all about I saw this sitting in the showroom at Lowe's I guess the showroom the tool room tool area and I saw the deal on it it was just such a tremendous deal I had to have it so we'll open her up here so we've needed a workbench here in the garage for a long time I debated on building one myself versus buying one but when I saw the deal here I just couldn't pass it up it has a nice it looks like a oak or maple top on it and we'll be using this for doing all sorts of fun stuff I can't wait this beat it up with a hammer seems pretty tough pretty robust little deal here we'll slide all the rest of this plastic off and show you all the features the thing we need to do is pick up all our trash while we're at it so I don't have even more of a mess peel it open and the box is in another box it actually comes on kind of a makeshift little pallet the wheels are right up underneath here it all comes basically preassembled from what I can tell let's kick the outside edge here off oh yeah very well protected so it has a built-in pegboard right here and a bunch of drawers and a bunch of packaging in case you don't know I'm a real fan of cobalt tools I'm a real fan of Lowe's it's a North Carolina company here I support Lowe's and everything that they have to offer great company great place to shop pretty cool toolbox very cool all kinds of little tags on it looks like we're locked up must be a key yeah there's a key right there kind of hanging got unlock it dummy this says smart security oh yeah she's heavy this is about 240 pounds of tool box here there we go come on down baby oh and the bottom okay cool basically just slips right off there we go yeah nice so I guess as you grow up shop lies and farm wise and you get more tools you just need a bigger toolbox I debated on buying one of those great old big tool chests but I think I can get away with this for a little while so what we have here I'll get you in here and show you how our tools are organized or disorganized and I'll show you what we're going to be doing we're going to be moving some of these tools over to the big toolbox the roll-around toolbox tools that we use more frequently and we'll keep the tools we use less frequently right here so here's what I'm saying I just have kind of a calico mix of like screwdrivers that drawer will barely shut my sharps all my knives and stuff drill bit stuff like that everything is so crammed in here and disorganized the hope is that I will be able to organize this tool set up just a little bit better peel the sticker off here one thing I can't stand is when you buy a tool or anything that has a paper sticker on it and you can't get the stinking thing off without making a huge mess so you're spending a half hour taking a darn sticker off this is a nice vinyl sticker good fit and fish pulls right off and leaves no residue super awesome these drawers one two three four five six drawers right here they are roller bearing drawers nice tool drawers with a liner already in them when you push them close they don't slam watch it has the easy closed drawer so you just take them to a certain point and they just suck right back in there these are all the same except for the bottom drawer and there's another set of drawers here on the other side you also have a pegboard right here that you can use for hanging stuff and they make these cool new little mounts that you can put your drills and stuff in basically you can just hold stir them right here on the side the car SuperDuper awesome 33,000 square inches of storage space on this thing now we're over here to the other side same thing lockable drawers they are the no slam type easy closing drawers very very cool stickers come off nice and easy no residue guys I can't tell you how impressed I am with cobalt tools I know they sell craftsman tools now at Lowe's but I really really like the cobalt lineup I just really do let's check out the side here we'll turn it around it just turns with ease you have another peg board over here and some shelving units here let's get you in closer so check this out you've got one two three nice storage shelves right here nice heavy-duty stuff and fully adjustable very very cool on the other side you have more pegboard just like this so it comes with a nice stainless steel handle that's very hard to get out of the packaging come on buddy you can do it there we go atomic packaging and the holes are already pre screwed in so in other words you just loosen up the current little screws and [Music] there are four of them not gonna take a rocket scientist to get this thing together but it will take a rocket scientist to hold on to the screws and not drop them I dropped every screw just about pretty cool pretty simple nice snug as a bug there we go don't strip out our screws be in business nice handle good stuff just for demonstration purposes I'll show you the difference in the drawer quality that's the craftsman and this is the new Cobalt why Josh why do you need a toolbox like this with a workbench on it because it's awesome dude that's why because it's cool it's something that we can enjoy here on the channel something that I can set up cameras above and you can look down on what's going on we can get intricate details of things like rebuilding the starter on the Jeep all sorts of really cool stuff we're gonna be putting this thing to work on the channel this isn't just my new
