YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE WHAT I FOUND IN THIS GARBAGE DISPOSAL!!
What happens here
After removing visible debris, locate the hexagonal hole at the very bottom center of the garbage disposal unit. This is the manual reset/unclogging port. Insert the appropriate size Allen wrench (typically provided with the disposal, or a common 1/4-inch or 3/8-inch size) into this hole. Turn the Allen wrench back and forth in both directions. You should feel resistance initially, but as you work it, the grinding plates inside should begin to move freely. Continue turning until the wrench can complete full rotations easily, indicating the plates are no longer jammed.
Goal: Locate the hexagonal reset hole on the bottom of the garbage disposal unit and insert the correct size Allen wrench to manually rotate the grinding plates back and forth, loosening any remaining internal jams.
