What happens here

This project details the process of installing a Tesla Wall Connector as a hardwired connection in a residential setting. It covers assessing the existing electrical panel, routing heavy-gauge wiring through finished and unfinished basement areas, including a challenging crawl space, installing a dedicated circuit breaker, and making the final hardwired connection to the charger. The instructions emphasize best practices for electrical wiring, safety, and the benefits of hardwiring over plug-in alternatives for EV chargers.

ran the wire that way. All right, guys. We just installed a Tesla wall connector for a customer. He's got his main panel right here and he's got his sub panel. So, anytime you install a Tesla charger, we must come from the main panel. So, as you can see here, we installed our 40 amp breaker double pull. Actually going to label right here. EV. Always want to label the panel. Customer had a finished basement. So, drop ceiling tiles. We ran the wire that way. You come over here. You got facing ceiling >> over here. >> We ran 82 ROMX wire, guys. You can time your stap >> 62 ROMX. My bad. 62 ROMX, guys. So, we got it nice and stapled. You always want to staple straight, guys. We're not handyman or electricians. We peer out to the back. Customer actually had a slab house, so he has a crawl space. Had to come to the back of the house. So, in order to get to his crawl space, it was under the deck. Come over here. You can't really see, but it's dark in there. and ran a wire through all the way through that crawl space to the garage. We came from the crawl space out to here. The customer had some shelving here. So, we were able to peer out, come out here, had a pull box, two conductors, one ground. And we just grounded the box and we continued our wire all the way up to the charger. This is a hardwired connection. We always recommend for all our chargers to be hardwired. Do not get a Nema. Tell you right now, do not get a Nema. A lot of customers be like, "Oh, it's easy to plug in." You don't want to. You want that direct connection. You don't want any faults. Customer satisfied. Henny the Sparky. See you on the next install.
