What happens here
With the power off and the ceiling prepared, carefully pull the electrical wires through the pre-cut hole. Take the recessed light fixture and open its junction box or access its wiring. Strip approximately 1/2 inch of insulation from the ends of the house wiring (typically black for 'hot', white for 'neutral', and bare copper or green for 'ground') and the corresponding wires on the recessed light fixture. Connect the hot wires together (black from fixture to black from house), the neutral wires together (white to white), and the ground wires together (bare/green to bare/green). Secure each twisted wire pair with an appropriately sized wire nut, twisting it clockwise until tight and ensuring no bare wire is exposed. For a more secure connection, some fixtures may utilize quick connectors, simply push the wires into the designated slots.
Goal: Safely establish electrical connections between the house wiring and the light fixture
