Run Plate Compactor Over Pavers
At 0:16 in
When in doubt, compact it out!
What happens here
The person starts the Bartell Global BPR1080 plate compactor by pulling its starter cord. Once the machine is running, they carefully guide it across the entire paved surface. They push the compactor forward, moving systematically over both the light-colored patio pavers and the dark border pavers. The compactor vibrates intensely, effectively settling the pavers more firmly into the bedding layer (typically sand) and creating a solid, interlocking surface. The compactor appears to have small, non-marring wheels or rollers on its edges, which may be a feature to prevent damage to paver edges or assist with maneuverability.
Goal: To fully settle and interlock the pavers, creating a stable and level finished surface.
