Apply and Smooth Caulk Using Sponge Method

What happens here

With the surfaces prepared and caulk selected, begin applying the caulk. Load the 'Big Stretch' caulk tube into a caulk gun. Carefully apply a continuous bead of caulk along all necessary joints, specifically where the baseboard meets the wall, where the baseboard meets the flooring, and in all interior and exterior corners of the baseboards. Maintain a consistent pressure on the caulk gun trigger and move at a steady pace to ensure an even bead. Immediately after applying a section of caulk, use a damp sponge to smooth the caulk bead. The sponge 'wiping' method helps to create a clean, uniform finish and removes any excess caulk. Rinse the sponge frequently to keep it clean and prevent spreading caulk unnecessarily.
