Somebody recently asked if they should use silicone caulking on their exterior of their home. That would be a really bad idea, so I'm sure they're probably talking about a 100% silicone. A 100% silicone is not painable. You can't prime it, you can't paint it. So whatever you don't use, 100% silicone, I would use something like that inside of a bathtub, where that's like a porcelain bathtub, or by a glass bathtub, silicone. It's very rare where you would actually use it. There are latex or siliconized caulking that is not a 100% silicone, and make sure if you buy a siliconized caulking, you know, say right on the caulking, whether it's paintable or not, do not use any caulking on the outside of your house. That is not paintable. It's going to say some ways, you know, on that tuba caulking.
