Proper Block Installation with Mortar

What happens here

To install a block, first lay down a fresh mortar bed, ensuring full coverage. Next, apply mortar to the head joint (the end face) of the block that will butt against the previously laid block. This can be done by 'buttering' the end of the block. The presenter demonstrates tapping the block with the trowel to ensure good adhesion, so it 'sticks' and doesn't fall off during placement. Then, carefully place the block onto the mortar bed, sliding it into position against the adjacent block to create a tight joint and maintain alignment with the string line.
