Water Hammer In Shower Pipes!...I Tried This First

What happens here

With the valve body exposed, use a pair of channel-lock pliers to grip the large bonnet nut or sleeve that holds the cartridge in place. Turn the pliers counter-clockwise to loosen and remove the nut. Once the nut is off, the old cartridge can be pulled straight out of the valve body. Place a towel underneath to catch any residual water.

Goal: Plumbing Fixture Repair (Leaking)

Tools and materials

  • Channel-lock pliers Knipex — Gripping and unscrewing the bonnet nut
  • Towel — Catching residual water that drips from the valve

Grab our catnipex pliers. Still might use all these settings, all right. Okay. And that rolling. Put a little towel down here or something. Just because we might get a little bit of water, I bought a different aquasource that was not it. And we don't have anything like this.
