Initial Concrete Surface Grinding

What happens here

The first crucial step involves preparing the existing concrete floor by grinding it down. The video shows the use of an angle grinder equipped with a dust shroud and connected to an industrial vacuum system. This process is essential for removing any existing coatings, sealers, contaminants like oil or grease, and creating a rough profile (CSP - Concrete Surface Profile) that allows the new resinous coating to properly adhere. Grinding is performed over the entire surface, paying close attention to edges and areas where larger equipment cannot reach. Safety gear, including knee pads, safety glasses, hearing protection, and a respirator, is worn throughout this dusty process.
