What happens here
The half-inch poly pipe will serve as the intake line. Prepare a filter for the end of the intake pipe to prevent debris from entering the ram pump. This involves drilling many small holes (approx. half-inch diameter) into a 1-foot section of PVC pipe. Then, wrap this perforated pipe tightly with window screen material and secure it with several heavy-duty zip ties using a zip tie applicator tool for maximum tightness. The completed filter will be submerged about 12-16 inches below the pond's surface, ensuring it doesn't touch the bottom where most sediment lies.
Goal: Prevent debris from entering the ram pump.
