Tree work for the Beginner. How to climb, Set rigging, Spurs, Ropes & harness.

What happens here

The climber puts on his personal protective equipment (PPE), including an orange climbing helmet with a chin strap, dark safety glasses, and fingerless gloves. He then dons his climbing harness, also known as a saddle, which features a floating D-ring designed for increased mobility and flexibility in the tree. He attaches an 8-foot steel-braided lanyard to his saddle, explaining its purpose in preventing a chainsaw from cutting through his safety line. Additionally, he attaches an adjustable 'buck strap' as a backup safety device for moving between tree crotches.

Goal: Properly wear and adjust all personal protective equipment and the climbing harness.
