What happens here

To access the oil filter housing, use an impact driver with a socket to remove the bolts securing the skid plate beneath the engine. Carefully lower and remove the skid plate. Locate the cartridge-style oil filter housing. Use a specialized oil filter wrench that fits the fluted housing to loosen the bottom drain plug on the housing. Insert the provided plastic drain nipple tool into the housing's drain to allow the oil to drain from the filter. Once drained, remove the entire filter housing using the special wrench. The old cartridge filter can then be removed.

Goal: Remove and replace the engine's cartridge oil filter.
