What happens here

After sanding, thoroughly clean all surfaces to remove any remaining dust or debris. Use a tack cloth or a damp cloth followed by a dry cloth. Next, mask off any areas of the chest of drawers that you do not want to paint, such as the inside of the drawer openings or the back of the piece. Use painter's tape to create crisp lines and masking paper to cover larger areas.
