What happens here
Carefully position the pressure-treated ledger board, such as the 'ProWood' brand shown, against the house wall. Align its top edge with the initial level line you marked and its bottom edge with the measurement mark you just made. Once aligned, use a cordless drill/driver to insert a few temporary screws through the ledger board and house wrap into the house's sheathing. These screws are only to hold the ledger board in place temporarily while you make final adjustments and prepare for permanent fastening. Do not fully tighten these screws.
Goal: Secure the ledger board in its approximate final position for adjustment
