Disassemble the Glock Variant

The presenter next introduces a second 'security device,' a Glock variant, and demonstrates its field stripping procedure. Begin by ensuring the firearm is completely unloaded by removing the magazine and verifying the chamber is empty. Pull the slide back slightly (approximately 1/4 inch), then simultaneously pull down on the takedown tabs located on both sides of the frame. While holding the tabs down, push the slide assembly forward off the frame. With the slide separated, remove the recoil spring assembly and then lift the barrel out of the slide.

Goal: Field strip the Glock variant for cleaning.
