What happens here
Once the base ring is complete, prepare the inner base for the fire pit wall blocks. Use a spirit level to check the level of the existing gravel bed. If necessary, add or remove gravel to ensure a flat and stable surface. Then, spread a thin, even layer of leveling sand or paver base material over the gravel using a hand trowel. Carefully place the first course of textured wall blocks directly on this prepared base, inside the paver stone ring. Use the rubber mallet to gently tap each block into position, ensuring it is level and properly aligned with the curve of the base ring.
Goal: Create a stable and level foundation for the fire pit walls.
