(12,057 characters)what is going on guys today I'm gonna do something that I've been asked about a good bit and that is a whole tour of my race trailer with the living quarters I figure what a better time to do it then about an hour before I have to go sell it so it's all clean ready to go this is the last time it'll be hooked up to my truck yeah it's a little bittersweet because I have been living in this thing for nine months whenever I went out to Oklahoma and I just never came back because there was always stuff going on this is my house so let's get to it so this is the whole setup it's a 44 feet long it's a 2008 the vintage intimidate or elk you see it's good Intimidator back there the little do for Dale sticker a chaise put that there this was changed a lot in box old trailer owner Street bar take over due to work for that's actually how I ended up buying this because he got an RV where it placed the right time my truck it's a 2012 crew cab obviously Duramax it's got the LML it's all stock all emission systems are in place obviously the and typical Chevy paint flying off the fender I don't know it's an LTZ it's got 210 inch tiles and miles on it and it's been doing great it holds this thing like a champ not from back here basically right there back is where the car goes and forward is living area it's completely separated and there's a slide out but we will start with the boring part first and excuse me a generator is running and that awning is messed up because the dude ran it over with a golf cart a txt game so leave that open yeah the reason for this right here is in order to fit the Escalade in here I actually had to take that out because you can see the tire would be right about there and the bumper would be kind of like this it was like cuz it wrapped under so we a lot here and there was one time where it rolled in too far forward Rock gun generator Nashville hose so yeah literally I bought this thing in Missouri and I put a deposit on before I even had a truck to pull up with because that was such a great deal I couldn't pass it up and I knew what it would open so many doors for me being able to stay places but I literally signed the paperwork at the dealership went outside and tore that stuff out because I had towed the Escalade to Springfield on a one-way trailer so but this is it back here pretty much everything you know lies little access door what I would normally do is I climb out the window shimmy out here and then pop out the door I put these little marks on the wall so I knew how far to pull up might flip the mirrors in to pull it in I pull in and pop them back out I line it right up with that so I didn't need anybody to help me got into this thing it's an Onan 7000 generator and it's freaking amazing cabinets the rest of the generator cabinets in there I took it all out with the intent to shorten it and put it back in but I was traveling so much I never got to do that just left it out but the next guy might want it so I'm gonna give him all the pieces and here got the excess power battery so now let's check out the party you guys all want to see and that's the living quarters living quarters see the slide out there that's what it looks like when it's in I'll show you that first don't judge me for that sign Jace's life put that there when they like renovated this whole interior area and I just never took it out cuz I kept forgetting about it I don't know so it's still there but it's uh this is not how it is when you're in it I just wanted you to see what it looks like when it's in so we can put it out you know getting closer so that's night I'm gonna take my shoes off because I just cleaned this thing and this is it this is what it looks like I put these LEDs around here they're actually I'll turn this off just as well just when talking so you can hear better I got them over here too so that's it that's what it looks like you got your freezer fridge and see you gotta hit this button to open it um whenever you're doing stuff so that way when you're rollin doesn't fly open and it's got this head unit thingy here I'd only use a couple times because the speakers aren't super great but it's better than trying to listen stuff by your phone mattress goes up here obviously there's a good there's a lot of storage back there I actually never used that but there's probably those things are over a foot deep and they go all the way to to this here and just storage my mom made those dark curtains for me they were lighter a lot too much light and when I got this thing so it was hard to keep it cool in the Oklahoma heat this table here chase made that Chase had it made it's a heavy as hell but it pops right under here and then you got a nice little table top so I'm going to stick that on there so you guys can see it so that is what the table setup looks like when I was in here I had like an office chair I stuck it right here so like this is basically my office I do all my editing and computer work stuff emails all that right there this is all the counter space I really had now for a week or so on the road it's great but nine months in here I had to learn some some new space saving strategies got a cabinet and there this is what the wood used to look like that's much better now I say I don't think anybody's even used this burner before supper but yeah the chase had it for a year and then I bought it before chase had at some guy had it the original owner transported like hot rods and he never even used this the living quarters like chase said the light switch is still plastic on him so this thing is it's Bree cherry so you got your battery fresh one or gray zero black 29 and like a propane gas water heater you know light that up takes about I don't know ten minutes for it to get warm that's basically it was nice is that's 12-volt car thing up there so if you a lot of times I wouldn't run the generator if it was not hot enough to need the AC and the heater down there is off the propane so if you can like Boondock in this thing without running the generator 24/7 if you don't need AC which is pretty cool and the fridge and freezer runs off the propane also so you can keep your stuff cool all the time it's more storage up there this flips out into a bed just the typical jackknife deal I had my toaster there and I never even used that sink because I always have like stuff in it just so wouldn't it was like a nice receptacle stuff would fly away you can start a soft generator from in here thermostat reminds me it's getting kind of hot in here but whatever closet and your fresh water tank is in here I could go for five days with on one tank of water and that's with me taking a shower and obviously a lot of hair so I use a good bit of water and in the morning I have intense bed head unless I stick my head under the shower head and get all wet and dry it off again so that's five days doing that so you could last several days in here with just like two people taking normal showers this is a bathroom he had a shower beer tour event everything you need nothing you don't it's a it was actually quite spacious in here like from I mean the showers probably eight inches up higher this but I had plenty of head room but it was a little tight for me this way so the shower curtain like stick to me and I was like annoying so I figured if I put it like a little eye our space here on the floor here and open this vent I could turn that on and it would create a vacuum and pull the curtain like it would like bow it out so it wouldn't stick to me and it like made the shower like bigger which was pretty cool so that's that's an example of the kind of things that you know just little tips that I discovered while staying in this magnificent unit just to make life easier cuz I'm not gonna lie for the first couple months I it really started to wear me down like I was just uncomfortable and it really sucked but after that I started to eat used to it and then I started to like it like I'd rather staying here than in like somebody's house if I had the option to because it was like well my stuff was like the real game-changer was the chair for me because sitting on this thing I mean it's it's fine for like eating but like doing computer work it wasn't like the ideal height and there's not enough this is really squishy couch it wasn't enough support to like keep my back from hurting so it was just like be retained to do schoolwork and stuff on the computer so that's something like you know what I'm pretty good off charity so I did it turned out great LEDs make it pretty awesome that's that's a simple mod anybody could do you just got to be creative and kind of find the hunger surfaces that you could put it on like I ran it just that's this one strip freaking one strip plugs in there goes Bude right down there do other colors too Oh I use blue during the day and read at night typically because well your body sees like any kind of blue blue light and it creates some hormone like makes you stay awake so it's like dark mode on your phone I make it red just to like be like a mental trigger that it's time to start going to bed and I think it worked out pretty well but I'm worried like that I pay attention to I don't know what you call it like how your body works like anything I can do to optimize my own natural processes just stupid stuff like that I think it's cool it's not a whole lot in here pretty simple there's AC up there as they see in the back the fuses and stuff are in there battery disconnect carbon dioxide put this back in not gonna go to the neutering they like out here I hit my head do you have the batteries hydraulic system propane propane has an auto switch valve on it which is pretty cool so what'd you do - well like when I was camera next to the building city water city water just like RV speak for like the water hookup so you just basically take a host in the building and you're like a little pressure regulator on there so you don't overpower the lines in the in the water system and blow them out she asked just some Keith how that goes when you don't put a little regular thing on there but it has its own gas tank for the generator those two things right there front ones for the poo water stool and back ones us for like the shower or sink and that stuff right there playing up there so that's it the old girl I'm really gonna miss this thing but I'm selling it to sell my dually too so if anyone needs a dually like an L M L the higher towing capacity let me know some put that up pretty soon here but I'm selling this to consolidate basically into a Motorhome like an older Provo renewal and I'm just gonna live in it like I lived in this and I got used to it was fine if I have more counter space and I could like cook my own food he's alert easier I'd be set so I'm like screw paying for an apartment like that's not fun so I'm gonna get a cool Motorhome go back to putting the Escalade on an open trailer and you know it's gonna ball live the Nomad life this trailer opens so many doors for me that I never expected it to do and honestly this is probably one of the most influential decisions purchase decisions I've made of my life a recent history is that I mean I stayed in it non-stop for nine months from September until like last week but as soon as I got it pretty much in the middle of June last year I was never home for more than like a week or week and a half I was gone all the time so if you actually had up the time that I had spent in it it's probably like closer to ten ten and a half months I hope you liked it make sure you hit that subscribe button I'm gonna be doing more stuff once again an RV it's gonna be a lot of fun and maybe if you'd like to set up like this they're out there and that one really wasn't that expensive like it's very to what some people pay for like a new diesel truck you could get both of these for as much for like less than you pay for a brand new diesel which you told me what you'd rather have well there it is the old girl off with his new owner
