What happens here
On the roof, the crew prepares the large rubber boot (flashing) with an aluminum base. This boot will be sealed with Henry HE209 caulk and screwed into place on the metal roof. It is designed to conform to the roof's ridges, ensuring a watertight seal. The Class A double-wall, ceramic-insulated stainless steel pipe is then installed through the flashing. Finally, a storm collar is fitted, and a rain cap is attached to complete the exterior chimney assembly.
Goal: Create a watertight and secure exterior chimney penetration.
